If you’re beating your head against a wall in regards to why some applications seem to fail to parse text correctly (Bazarr) and ultimately complete actions like notifications (Ombi) it may be due to an un-set Language Locale value in your LXC container. Here’s how to fix it:<\/p>\n

If you type “locale” and see no value for “LANG” then you have unset values.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. ssh to your LXC container and run the following (either as root or prefaced with sudo) replacing the language with your preferred language.<\/li>\n
  2. localectl set-locale LANG=en_US.UTF-8<\/li>\n
  3. set LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8<\/li>\n
  4. locale-gen “en_US.UTF-8”<\/li>\n
  5. reboot the LXC container<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Now if you execute “locale” on the host you should see a new value for “LANG” with your preferred language.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
